The Danville MPO is in the process of developing its FY 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Development of a TIP is a federally mandated requirement (49 U.S.C. § 5303 (j)) for all MPOs. The TIP lists all transportation projects in an MPO region scheduled to receive federal transportation funding within a four-year planning horizon.
The public is hereby advised a 30-day public comment period has commenced and will end at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. The draft FY 2027 – 2030 TIP may be accessed here or by contacting the Danville MPO/WPPDC at (276) 638-3987 or danvillempo@wppdc.org. Any person without Internet access desiring to review the draft FY 27 – 30 TIP will be provided a copy of the full document by mail or fax.

A public hearing with an opportunity for comments will be conducted on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Danville Regional Airport Terminal Building, 424 Airport Drive, Danville, VA 24540. Again, the draft FY 27 – 30 TIP may be accessed here for review.
